The Christmas Cats Series Books

The Christmas Cats In Silly Hats
Book one stresses learning to cooperate is important for everyone. A Dr. Seuss-like book, with rhyming wisdom, sly humor and colorful characters that will help teach young children that success in life is about learning to get along and work cooperatively. The cats of the story must learn to share and put aside their petty spats in order to be happy. Valuable lessons for any age, presented with humor and style. A labor-of-love Christmas gift for two special little girls, the author’s twin granddaughters, Ava and Elise Wilson.

The Christmas Cats Chase Christmas Rats
Book two urges acceptance and advises against prejudice. “It’s best to be open and trusting and kind, and always to keep an open mind.” Learn to accept others in a non-judgemental, open-minded fashion. Clever, colorful illustrations by award-winning artist Gary McCluskey throughout its pages, and a story from Constance (Corcoran) Wilson, veteran educator.

The Christmas Cats Encounter Bats
Book 3 is a Seussical tale for young children which builds upon the morals of the first two Christmas Cats books. It urges everyone to honor life in all its forms, and to love and accept all God’s creatures. Some animals are popular while others may not seem as worthy, but all are small cogs in the universe. All life should be valued. The bats of story three are just as deserving of respect and have as much of a right to life as any other creature on the planet.

The Christmas Cats Fear For The Deer
Book four teaches everyone to help others when they are in need. This year, the Christmas Cats, who go about helping animals in distress, are trying to help save the lives of the deer who live in Scott County Park. They think up a particularly ingenious plan to save all the deer by introducing them to a jolly old guy in a red suit who lives at the North Pole. Perhaps the deer can also help Santa on Christmas Eve?

The Christmas Cats Care For The Bear

The Christmas Cats Flee The Bee
In the sixth book the hardy troupe of Good Samaritan cats are called upon to help bees living in a hive when a power-hungry drone wants to overthrow the Queen Bee and take control of the hive. By the end of this parable, the moral that emerges is that we must select leaders wisely and each of us must participate in the democratic process. Elections have consequences; it is important that the voice of the people be heard in a democratic society.

Judge, 3rd Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published eBook AwardsThe Christmas Cats Fear for the Deer presents with a classically illustrated cover that reminds me stylistically of old cartoons. I really loved this presentation. And really, who wouldn’t love cats in hats? Great concept and a clever way to both entertain and inform children by using the things that they love to keep their attention. Children will adore the cats and their adventure as they screech in to save the deer from mean old hunters. I really loved this book from cover to cover. Great job!....The author’s voice was perfect for this genre and I was happy to find that the author has written other books. I hope this series is continued and I plan to share this one with my own children. It will be the perfect addition to any child’s library.

Mrs. Mommy“My sons and I really care about all God’s creatures so this silly story about the cats encountering bats (which are one of our favorite wild creatures) was quite the treat. The rhyming story is fun to read and it is a cute story about being kind to all living things…even the ones that may scare us. ”

Lauren Nagel"This is a delightful story that will bring a smile to any face.....I recently read this to my 5 year old grandson. He listened very attentively and with a wide smile as I read each page. I could tell he enjoyed the writing style. He adlibbed with his own rhymes and as the book went along I thought perhaps it was written in a way to encouraged kids to participate. Dominic certainly got a kick out of adding his own rhyming words. When the last page was read, his immediate response was “read it again Grandma!” That's what a good book is all about."

Allergy Kid Mom"When my daughter first saw this book, she wanted to read it. I will admit, the cover art really drew us in. It has bright colors and rats in a tub looking like they are having fun. Obviously, this was going to be a good book. Inside the book the artwork is just the same. It is very colorful and whimsical. The artist has "cartoon" life mixed with some everyday life. I like this because it helps kids identify with the story better. Not only do they see it as a cartoon, but they seem some reality in it. "
